About

Over the past decade, Fatma Sahin’s professional journey has been marked by invaluable experiences in multiple highly reputable inpatient Acute Care hospitals. Handling a diverse range of cases, working with patients facing neurologic, trauma, psychological, orthopedic, cardiac, and general medicine diagnoses. Her expertise extends to conditions such as stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, joint replacements, valve replacements, LVAD and heart transplants, cancer, and trauma patients, including Neonatal/pediatric intensive care units. Additionally, her contributions to private pediatric outpatient clinic services have focused on children with pervasive developmental disorders, motor deficits, Autism, Down syndrome, sensory processing disorders, visual impairments, and genetic disorders affecting development and education.

Having a personal connection to early intervention through her own son, Fatma is deeply committed to partnering with children and their families to enhance meaningful participation in daily life. She places a strong emphasis on a holistic approach to pediatric occupational therapy. Recognizing the interconnected nature of well-being, she goes beyond conventional interventions to consider the broader context of her patients’ lives. This involves addressing not only specific medical conditions but also considering overall lifestyle, environment, and social context. She firmly believes in treating the whole child rather than just isolated symptoms, understanding that balance across physical, emotional, social, and environmental factors is key to fostering optimal development.
